The Just4kixs Program
If you have a child with a disability such as Autism, Asperger’s, ASD, (Autism Spectrum Disorder) PDD-NOS (Pervasive Developmental Disorder) Down Syndrome, ADHD, ADD, 22q Deletion, CP (cerebral palsy) speech delay, hearing impaired, visually impaired, learning delay, behavioral disorder, or any other developmental delay and they are between the ages of 3 and 21, we have a special soccer program for them. Just4kixs, through the Old Bridge Girls Soccer League, offers a unique program to any child (boy or girl) with an IEP or 504 in our town or any town.
Just4kixs is an inclusive soccer league for children with special needs. If your child has special needs and would like to play soccer on our program we welcome any of their siblings to join as well. Just4kixs believes that children with special needs should be give the opportunity to play sports alongside their peers. Inclusion in the classroom and inclusion on the field, it’s the best way to learn.
The Just4kixs program has a buddy system set up for your child to assist them in learning to play soccer. All children will get to experience hands on learning and one-to-one attention from their buddy in a structured group play. We also have dedicated coaches that provide direction and supervision. Buddies and coaches assist your child in learning basic soccer skills in a non-judgmental environment with typical peers as role models. We work with your child on their special needs in a fun and creative way. Our program has it all, physical therapy, speech therapy, occupational therapy, and social skills. We guarantee they will have a ball.
The program runs in both the Fall and Spring seasons. The Spring season runs from April 7, 2018 through June 2, 2018 once a week on Saturdays from 11:45AM to 12:45PM. at Higgins Field in Old Bridge, New Jersey. For directions, see About Us.
The cost per season for each family is low and affordable. No Registration Fee. No Work bond Fee.
- $50 for one child
- $70 for two children
- $90 for three or more children
Every child enrolled will receive a Just4kixs light blue soccer jersey along with puzzle piece soccer socks. Your child may wear any soccer shorts they desire. Black looks best, but pink or blue is acceptable too. We ask that you write your child’s first name on the front of the soccer jersey (you may iron it on or write it.) Uniform night is held a couple of weeks before the season begins. You will be able to meet your child’s coach that night.
For more information, see Uniforms.
Recycled Cleats Program
Just4kixs has a unique recycled cleats program as well. Soccer cleats can be expensive, so we recycle them each season. We clean the cleats up and have them available to any family that may need them. They are free to a good pair of feet. All we ask is that you return the cleats when they grow out of them. You may trade them in for another pair as well. If your child does not have soccer cleats or will not wear them, an old pair of sneakers is perfectly fine. They will get dirty , so please do not put good sneakers on them.
